About me

Biography
Since 2018, Chiara has been working as a Policy Officer at the Humanitarian Aid Thematic Policies Unit of the European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO) of the European Commission. She is responsible for the Health portfolio, encompassing a range of topics related to humanitarian health crises (e.g. epidemics, sexual and reproductive health, primary healthcare, etc.). Before the Commission, Chiara spent more than ten years in the field (Angola and Brazil) working with NGOs as programme manager, mainly in the health sector. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in International Cooperation and Development, a Master’s Degree in Development and Economics from the University of Rome and a Master’s Degree in Public Health (Management of Health Services) from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
